If billionaires can take tourist trips to space, we should all be able to put food on the table.

Millions of Americans rely on SNAP benefits for reliable access to food — including people with full-time jobs, people with disabilities, students and refugees. And with the cost of groceries skyrocketing, now is the time to expand access to benefits, not restrict it.

We need leaders who will put the needs of the people first, not the wealthy elite. We can’t stake our survival on the whims of self-serving politicians — our community shouldn’t have to face another government shutdown in January.
